Good evening Sharks!

We are one week away from our season kick-off! Sorry for the long email. Below is some important information for the next few weeks.

Sharks Kick Off Meeting:

Wednesday, May 13th at 5:30 PM at the Club in the DVCC Ballroom. While the parents are inside at the meeting, swimmers will be outside with the coaches doing Field Day events. Please remember to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. If you pre-ordered a suit or other Sharks gear before the portal closed, we will have that to pass out as well.

Birthday Bag Drive:

We will be running a birthday bag drive for the Haymarket Food Pantry at the Field Day Event on May 13. Please bring donations of cake mix, candles, decorations, icing, and cans of Sprite (to be used in place of eggs and oil). Let's start the season off strong with our donations!

Developmental Assessments:

We will hold Developmental assessments at the indoor Waverly Pool on Wednesday, May 27 to determine whether swimmers will be on the competitive team or developmental team.

Summer Practice Schedule:

The Summer practice schedule is on the website and attached to this email. Evening practices for the competitive team will start Tuesday May 26 to Thursday, June 11th at both the DVCC pool and the Gaines Mill pool. Sign-ups for Developmental practices will happen after assessments. More information will be communicated on the Developmental Team assessments and practice sign-ups shortly. Morning and evening practices after school ends will be held Monday, June 15 to Friday, July 24 at both pools. More info to come toward the end of May on practice sign-ups for June 15-July 24 practices.

Time Trials:

Time Trials for Competitive team swimmers are May 30 from 8-11am at the DVCC pool. More information to come.

Meet Schedule:

The meet schedule has been posted on the website. Our first meet of the season is June 6 @ Victory Lakes. We have moved to the Red Division this season. We will be hosting Divisionals on July 25!

Social Events:

A tentative schedule of social events for the summer has been posted to our website and is attached. We hope you are able to join us for some fun outside of the pool!
