Week 3 - Sharks Weekly Update
Hello Sharks Families!
What an exciting week for the Dominion Valley Sharks! We were thrilled to host our first home meet of the season and come away with a great team victory over the Braemar Blasters. Thank you to all of our swimmers, families, volunteers, officials, and coaches who helped make the meet such a success. The energy on deck was incredible, and we are so proud of the effort and sportsmanship displayed by our Sharks. We have lots to cover for this week so this is a long one!

Congratulations to Peyton Elam for breaking the Dominion Valley Sharks 13-14 Girls 50 Butterfly Team Record!
Additionally, congratulations to Hailey Sosinski, Peyton Elam, Brooklyn McGinley, and Madison Woodward for breaking the Dominion Valley Sharks 13-14 Girls Freestyle Relay Team Record!

Morning Practices Begin Tomorrow
Starting tomorrow, we transition to our summer morning practice schedule. Please make sure your swimmer arrives at the correct practice time and location.

Goldfish Drive Begins This Week
Our annual Goldfish Drive officially begins this week! You should have received an email with additional information.
Collection bins will be available beginning tomorrow at practice. While you're at the grocery store this week, please consider picking up a few individually wrapped bags of Goldfish crackers to support Crossroads Connection and help further the Sharks' philanthropy mission.

Sharkpalooza – This Thursday!
Don't forget that Sharkpalooza is this Thursday from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Main Country Club Pool!
RSVPs close on June 17th, so be sure to sign up before the deadline.

Meet Sign-Up: Meadowbrook at Dominion Valley
Meet declarations are open for this Saturday's home meet against Meadowbrook.
We expect this to be our highest attended meet yet and are very excited to welcome another strong opponent to Dominion Valley. Please be sure to declare your swimmer before the deadline.
Our theme for this weekend is throwbacks! Dress in any throwback you'd like, whether that's 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, or a simple Sharks throwback with an old tshirt or any merch…looking forward to seeing everyone and remember there will be a prize for our sharks with the coolest outfits!

Important Parking Reminder: Due to a golf event taking place on Saturday, there will be absolutely no parking available at the golf course this weekend. Please plan accordingly and allow extra time for arrival.
Stars & Stripes Invitational Registration Open
Registration is now open for the 11th Annual Stars & Stripes Invitational, hosted by Bridlewood.
This exhibition All-Star style meet takes place on July 4th and is designed to be a fun, exciting, and fast-paced celebration of summer swimming. The meet features all four strokes, medley relays, and the exciting crescendo freestyle relay. The top four swimmers from each age group and gender who have declared availability will be selected to represent the Sharks. Entries are due June 21st, and selected swimmers will be notified shortly afterward.
The Sharks have won 5 of the last 11 Stars & Stripes Invitationals, and we're excited for another opportunity to compete for the title. If your swimmer is available, please make sure to declare them!

Sharks at the Movies
Mark your calendars and RSVP for one of our favorite summer traditions, Sharks at the Movies! This event is happening next week on June 22nd at 3:00PM.
This year we'll be heading to Centerville to see Toy Story 5 together.
